Lynn Jerath

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Citrine Investment Group is founded and wholly owned by Lynn Jerath, one of the few women leading a real estate private equity firm in the country.

Lynn is an institutional and entrepreneurial real estate investment professional with more than 30 years of experience and $10 billion in executed transactions across Goldman Sachs (The Whitehall Funds), The Carlyle Group, and GEM Realty Capital.

Her leadership and vision for aligning purpose with performance earned Lynn a place on the Forbes 50 Over 50 list in 2025, recognizing her impact in redefining the future of senior housing real estate.

Also, a dedicated philanthropist, Lynn’s leadership spans education, housing, and the arts, with a focus on advancing access and building long-term impact. She serves as Board Chair of Embarc, a nonprofit transforming education in Chicago high schools through experiential learning, and on the boards of Hope Chicago and the University of Pennsylvania, where she is one of six members—and the only woman—on Penn’s $21B+ endowment board. With her husband, she endowed a Wharton scholarship for Asian women pursuing finance, reflecting her commitment to creating opportunity for future leaders. Her previous board service includes The Poetry Foundation and Chicago Furniture Bank, and through the Jerath Family Foundation, she continues to champion initiatives that strengthen communities and create lasting change.

"At Citrine, our mission is to forge a new path in the world of real estate investment. We believe in the power of win-wins – the idea that every party involved can thrive and prosper. From our investors to our partners, from the communities we engage with to the environments we touch, we are committed to creating synergies that fuel success."
